Seasons for Growth

About Us

Seasons for Growth began in Australia in 1996 with support from the Mary MacKillop Foundation, an organisation whose strong Scottish heritage continues to inspire the programme’s values and spirit. What started as a small initiative has grown into a trusted, internationally recognised approach to supporting children, young people, and adults through change, loss, and grief.

Scotland has been an integral part of this journey since 2001, when the Notre Dame Centre partnered with the programme to deliver training and support nationwide. Over the years, dedicated Trainers and Companions have embedded Seasons for Growth in schools, communities, and organisations, ensuring thousands receive compassionate, skills-based support.

Today, MacKillop Seasons directly supports Scottish operations, providing high-quality training, resources, and program materials. This new chapter builds on decades of partnership and commitment. With around 50 Trainers and more than 9,000 trained Companions, Scotland’s Seasons for Growth network stands as a testament to care, community, and resilience.
